came across this video today and i think it serves as a good reminder of what can happen when you get too close to something… you assume that everyone lives in your world and knows just what you’re talking about.

some people like design ‘rules’… maybe because rules sometimes make life easier. and while there certainly are many widely-accepted practices, a lot of the so-called rules are probably complete crap – oftentimes, things just work.

i’m looking to picking up this book when it comes out.
